IIRC, they were AL NG guys and they had proper USGI M2 ball. We were hurting for .30 caliber DMR’s, especially in Trashcanistan. One of my biggest beefs with the orginial Trijicon Trijicon Reflex is that the dot would washout when using a flashlight in the dark. Something about the dark to light transition. A flashlight indoors can get washed out. There are people working on that. chewbacca6/16/2011 2:40:37 PM Been there done that with both. TheEotechis far [...]

Mike What are you looking for?

If you want the best then go Mesa. the recoil reduction systems are totally different so it is hard to compare the stocks. I find the transistion of the weapon through the firing stage is a lot smoother with the Endine buffer then with the simple two spring system of the SpecOps. The one issue [...]

Anyone have/use this sight? How do you like it and why? Why do I never see any weapons on here with it? It requires no batteries and is dual illuminated, always ready to go. How much more durable is anEotechreally? Postal0311 [Life Member] 2/28/2008 4:12:24 PM I have. Thing is, while it is a good sight, theEotechand aimpoint are much better. Back some years ago it was much more popular. However now days there are better alternatives. For example, the reticule will wash out in bright light, theEotechand aimpoints do not have that problem. TheEotechwill work even if the glass is damage or obscured. The aimpoints have such long battery life that battery life is a non-issue. Necrotickidney2/28/2008 4:12:34 PM I use the Trijicon Reflex on all my rifles. I had a bad experience with anEotechonce, so I won’t use it. The Trijicon Reflex is always on, no batteries. The only complaint I have is that the lens is a little too dark due to the anti-laser coating. I reccomend them without hesitation or reservation. Necrotickidney2/28/2008 4:13:26 PM Postal0311: For example, the reticule will wash out in bright light, . Not true. The brighter the environment, the brighter the dot. It uses fiberoptics. M4DS2/28/2008 4:26:40 PM Hmmmm interesting AMMOTECH2/28/2008 5:05:58 PM Necrotickidney: Postal0311: For example, the reticule will wash out in bright light, . Not true. The brighter the environment, the brighter the dot. It uses fiberoptics. Yes and no… Here is a wash out for you to try: – Stand inside a room with low light; your bed room. Look out into a well lit room/hallway and place the dot/triangle on a target with a white shirt. – Try the same while inside looking at a target outside (bright sunny day) no lights on inside. It will also wash out on a white target. I know the targets you use at the range are for the most part black and you will not have this problem but you never know what a bad guy will be wearing. I’ve use a Trijicon Reflex II for several years and I do like it except for the examples shown above. I also use the polorizing lens but as a result of the washout’s I’ve switched over to a red dot. EDIT: Until I get the mount I want for my new Burris red dot I will keep the reflex. Doreen with EOTech responded via email before 0800 this morning. She wants the sight back. Being LE, she said she would mail me a new one out today or tomorrow and I can then send them mine back. I can’t say that she can do this for everyone but she is doing it for me being that this is on my duty rifle. They will fix the issue though.

I am including her email: doreen.flummerfelt@L-3com.comWell apparently Doreen was full of shiznit when it comes to them mailing products back because I still haven’t received my EOTech back. I was told it shipped early this week. I was originally told they were shipping me a replacement ASAP, before they even got mine in for review.

I’d seriously consider getting another one… bwall858/31/2010 1:42:57 PM I did some research on these prior to buying my TA33 Trijicon ACOG and, well, I went with the ACOG. I’ve heard a lot of what the one review says above. It’s close to being a great optic, but just falls short in a few areas that are pretty darn important. Tomac8/31/2010 7:43:36 PM Excellent concept w/flawed execution, IMHO. Battery life is very poor, tritium is far too dim (supposedly for NVG compatibility), fiber optic collector glows at night when using the battery, loved the daytime performance w/the chevron reticle. Brighten the tritium and replace the current battery w/an AA or CR123 and I’d seriously reconsider it. Tomac SageEBR8/31/2010 8:11:40 PM I’ve got one, and battery life is my biggest beef. The batteries in mine don’t even last 2 months if the sight is turned off . Actually finding the batteries is not hard as every walmart and drug store in the world carries this size of battery in their little specialized battery section. asicmsar8/31/2010 8:36:37 PM You should be able to find a used generation one (with the glow stick tube), the tritium is brighter and the cost will be less. I have one and like it, better than anEotechor an aimpoint (in my opinion) and i’ve used both.

Aimpoint CompML2

The Aimpoint CompML2 is every bit as durable as the Aimpoint Scopes CompML2 and can withstand the roughest physical handling and extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

The very efficient CET technology diode gives the user months of continuous use on a single battery.

Designed for day use, including dusk and dawn

Currently in use by special forces and elite police units around the world, the CompML2 is primarily designed for use in daylight and in low light conditions. The CompML2 can also be used by hunters and sport shooters who demand the best in the field.

Corp GLNIC LA CA is “GLNIC Corporation of America”, a company based in California, but owned by the People’s Liberation Army of China. GLNIC may stand for “Guangdon Lingnan Ind. Corp.” or “Guangdon Lingnan Import Company”. The letters “CGA” may be stamped on the trunnion ahead of the serial number on early-import GLNIC AK47S rifles, and it appears that CGA was the exporter for pre-1989 GLNIC-imported AK47S and SKS Rifle Stocks rifles (later rifles were exported by Norinco).

It’s a Norinco. You’d have to compare prices in your area, but $295 sounds fairly reasonable.

Shop came down to $250 which really left me no other option than to buy. I got this thing home and it is pristine, all matching, and appears never to have been fired. Don’t need this and will likely forward it to my cousin who is a collector, but nicest one I’ve seen in a long time. The CGA thing just threw me off.

Interestingly, I read that Norinco is not a gun manufacturer but is a marketing company created to sell guns in the

while the Trijicon ‘s tritium lit dot and light weight has definite advantages over the aimpoint, the aimpoint wins in the most critical area of ruggedness. the aimpoints get totally beat to shit in the sandbox and have held up impressively. the littleTrijicon RMR would not withstand the same amount of abuse. the smaller dot size also makes the aimpoint more versatile. the dot size issue is more of which one does a better job in it’s worst situation. the aimpoints downfall is small dot / cqb. theTrijicon RMR is large dot / long shots. i think the aimpoint would be easier to use at cqb with even the 2moa dot vs. theTrijicon RMR trying to pull off 200-250m shots with a 9moa dot. also, the aimpoint is defenitely bright enough to use as an ocluded eye gunsight with the front cap closed. i thik theTrijicon RMR is great for a backup sight for a high power scoped rifle or for your glock or shotgun. leupold prismatic with 7 moaTrijicon RMR mounted on top @ 12 o clock

I have owned a few SureFire‘s and loved them. The last one I owned was left at a gas station, it was a U2 model, and my last SureFire I have since been forced to be more cost conscience so I was turned on to Fenix lights. I have a PD30 as well as a TK11 (sold that one to a friend) and have been happy with both. The TK11 is now on a friends AR and he has yet to have issues, but he hasn’t run it really hard, maybe a few 100 rounds through it. As for Olight, I have an SR90 Intimidator. The Intimidator is a 2200 lumen monster, with a 700 lumen low setting as well as a 2200 lumen strobe setting It is wayyyyy too big to function as anything other than a CSWL, but in the short time I have owned it appears to be very well built. I know appearance and function don’t always go hand in hand, but the quality in fit and finish is there. I am also looking into getting a weapon light for my AR and the M20 or 21 is on my short list along with the Fenix TK11. I think the M20 has a smooth reflector available, while the TK11 comes with one already. The main difference between the smooth vs orange peel reflectors is the smooth ones tend to throw better (assuming similar bezel size) than the orange peel versions, which tend to have a more floody beam. That is why I picked the TK11 over the newer tactical models from Fenix as they all come with orange peel reflectors. Good point on the reflectors.. Yes, The smooth reflector will have slightly more throw and tend to be more spotty compared to an orange peel. An orange peel will have fuller beam with no rings or anything. Still kind of spotty, not really a flood beam per say. I would choose the orange peel to better light up an area, room, corner of the backyard, etc. If your going to look into Olight..just get the M30. With it’s 700 lumens on high, It is capable of throwing a wall of light pretty freakin’ far! I will try to get some pictures in my home tonight with it. And a side note.. You can run the M30 on rechargeable batts like I do and won’t have 2 invest in a supply of 123 cells. A big money savings in batts ! where is “bright flashlights”? how do i find “calvins” stuff? thanks www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=2&f=142

Two loaded models. Both tack drivers and reliable as the day is long. I wouldn’t hesitate to get a third, fourth or fifth. In fact, I plan on it.

I bought an SA M1A Accessories standard new in 2009 (top of pic one) and it has been 100% reliable through about a thousand rounds. It came with a TRW trigger group but everything else is SA Inc. I put it in a USGI stock with a walnut handguard from Boyds. I will eventually go back to a fiberglass handguard because the wood heats up quick.

I bought another one at a gunshow a few months later that was made in 1998 (bottom of pic one). It is also 100% after many rounds down the pipe. It came with an HRA trigger group. I also put in a USGI stock.
